The Mae Shi On Pitchfork: A Community Reacts!

Pitchfork Media is known for being the most pretentious album review site on the web . Still, whether it's a love to hate or hate to love type relationship, it's hard not to go there on the regular, as if nothing else, it is updated every day (unlike some other content-based websites). Anyways, lunchboxing homies The Mae-Shi, one of the most rockingest and fun bands you could ever see live, recently released a sweet record, and Pitchfork was quick to lay on some of its' signature cocky-style criticism. Here was some of the band members and their friends' reactions:

Bassist/Singer Tim Byron's Reactions (in google image search form):

Surprised

Amused

A little let down

Concerned

Haven't slept in a while

Overworked

Predictable

Will not help us sell records

Shooting From The Hipster (Colleague PF Tug's Reaction)

I mean, yeah, the daily updates make Pitchfork an easy thing to check when I arrive at my day job every morning, but this review pissed me off. They'd probably be proud of pissing a reader off, but a bigger problem is that the review seriously undermined their credibility as well. More
